HYTORC and Cumulus Announce Partnership to Advance Industrial Bolting

Boston, June 14, 2019 – HYTORC, a world leader in industrial bolting technology, and Cumulus Digital Systems, a venture capital-backed software company that is building the Internet of Tools to help industrial facilities be safer and more productive, today announced a new partnership that will combine their respective technologies and expertise to transform bolted joint management at industrial facilities.
The assembly and installation of bolted connections is a critical activity during construction and maintenance in many industries, including oil & gas, energy generation, petrochemicals, mining, aviation, and infrastructure. The new partnership will combine HYTORC’s industry-leading bolting technology with Cumulus’ award-winning Smart Torque System (STS) to manage these safety-critical activities.
Working together, the companies will provide their customers unprecedented data transparency to improve work quality, prevent accidents and injuries, and minimize unplanned downtime. The partnership will ensure seamless integration of HYTORC’s bolting equipment with Cumulus’ software. HYTORC personnel will be certified to provide STS training and support and Cumulus’ customers will have access to HYTORC’s global field service network.
